You are Unique

Why try to fit in when you were born to stand out

Are you struggling?

I can help you. You may have different issues which are causing you distress, confusion, pain and unhappiness. I believe that an honest conversation is of the upmost importance. By working collaboratively with you, we can ‘unravel’ your thoughts and feelings to make sense of what is going on for you. After all, you know yourself best of all. I would like to walk along-side you as your ‘wing woman’ throughout your own therapeutic journey. Supporting you through the ups and downs by empowering you to realise that you are strong, unique and resilient. That you can indeed achieve your goals, find happiness, change and find a remedy to the pain and distress that you may be suffering.

Want to feel better?

I believe that every person is unique and that not all stand-alone therapies are appropriate for all clients. As an Integrative Counsellor, I will ‘blend’ or ‘integrate’ theories and techniques appropriate for your individual needs to be met. We are all unique in how we experience and perceive the world around us even if our stories are similar. I always say that “what one person can cope with another person may not be able to”

By working together to form a trusting and transparent therapeutic relationship, I can help you to make sense of things.

I can help

I help many of the following but this isn’t an exhaustive list:

Those who have suffered significant trauma, loss and bereavement due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. This includes  Emergency Services front line staff who due to their experiences and what they have ‘seen’ during this time, may now have PTSD, depression, anxiety or other mental health issues.

Those people who have suffered a ‘loss’ of themselves or their identity. This may be due to ‘visible’ and ‘invisible’ differences such as changes to their body due to cancer scars, illness or injuries from combat or accidents. Or less ‘visible’ differences which effects how you view your World; being diagnosed with a long term medical condition, life changes/ transitions or being Neuro Diverse with your own unique ‘super power’.

I have experience of working with clients who are survivors of child sexual abuse, sexual violence, rape and domestic abuse.

I have also worked with clients from  LGBQT+ communities, those with Neuro Diverse needs and those with issues surrounding addiction. I am keen to expand my experience with these client groups further.

What is NLP and how does it work?

Certified Practioner

I am a certified  NLP (Neuro Linguitstic Programming) Practitioner. NLP tries to detect and modify unconscious biases or limitations of an individual’s map of the world. NLP is not hypnotherapy. Instead, it operates through the conscious use of language to bring about changes in someone’s thoughts and behaviors.

ICARUS Charity

As a previous volunteer for Icarus Charity, I continue to support their work. Icarus charity provides Immediate Care and Rehabilitation for Uniformed Services. We provide support for veterans, for police, the NHS, any uniformed services that require help with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or mental health issues. We can also signpost to other relevant agencies who we work closely with.

I support SPBespoke with their drug and alcohol recovery and rehabilitation programme.
